Colorwork in Knitting – Portuguese Style Part 2

In this workshop students will be able to learn how to work with more than one colour at the same time and using typical Portuguese motifs (tiles, tapestries…); all aspects of working with colours will be addressed. – Colour theory – Colour dominance and how to make a motif pop out of the work – How to catch floats behind the work – How to use the Portuguese Style to maintain constant and perfect tension.

Class is Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 8:00AM EST


  • A range of needles between 3.5 to 4 mm / US 4 to 6 circular needles to do magic
    loop knitting or
  • dpn’s if preferred
  • (sport/ light dk yarn in at least 4 to 6 different
  • contrast colours, if possible the same brand)


Skills Needed:
Previous experience in Stranded Colorwork preferred and in
Portuguese Knitting Basics also. If the students know to work stranded knitting
and they apply to my other class of Portuguese Knitting for Beginners they will
be able to take this class also.
