Introduction to Double Knitting

Instructor: Jill Bigelow Suttell

Availability: In stock

Double-knitting is a unique method of making a fabric with no ‘wrong’ side. Significantly different from the standard intarsia and Fair Isle colorwork, double-knitting makes a pattern on both sides of the fabric with the colors inverted. You’ll learn 2-color cast-on for double-knitting, get comfortable with the techniques involved, then move into colorwork and end with decreases in pattern. We’ll practice on with a coaster and you will be provided with The Knit Stitch Hat pattern (in photograph) to work on your own.
