PUSHKAY means to spin with a spindle in Quechua, the language of the Incas, still spoken today in Indigenous Andean communities. Starting with raw fiber (alpaca and sheep), I’ll show you the authentic traditional process of spinning yarn with a Pushka, the traditional Andean spindle. In CANTIY we’ll ply it.

  • Low whorl spindle and unprocessed medium sheep’s wool or raw alpaca if you want to spin along

None necessary simply to view, but proficient spindle spinners can spin along
